Dilworth is one of the oldest areas of the city. Under a canopy of towering trees, this area is characterized by a variety of homes. These classic brick two stories are in the area surrounding Latta Park.
Latta Park
Latta Park runs paralel to East Boulevard, starting near Carolinas Medical Center and ending near South Boulevard.

A Variety of Styles
In Dilworth there are a number of different styles, which adds to the appeal of the area.
Bungalows to Mansions
Dilworth is close-in, just a couple of miles from Downtown. The area hosts several long running festivals including the Dilworth Jubilee and the Greek Festival at the cathedral on East Boulevard.
One of the Few Pedestian Friendly Areas of Charlotte
There are not many areas in Charlotte where yuo can wlak to shops, entertainment and restaurants. This section is probably the most pedestrian friendly part of town. The new Latta Pavilion has shops and retaurants, and East Boulevard is lined with many more retail and dining establishments.
Southend
Where Dilworth ends, Southend begins along South Boulevard. Known for tis restaurants and trendy home decor businesses, there is much to do here. There are a number of condo and townhome complexes in Southend, but little single family housing. The trolley and light rail runs through Southend and the area is still being revitalized.
